  • Jewelry is one of the most intimate art forms, often handed down for generations. Crafting heirloom-quality jewelry is always at the forefront of my practice. Using sterling silver or 14k-18k yellow/rose/palladium white gold, I happily take on custom projects that align with my aesthetic and design sensibility. Before inquiring, please take some time to browse the custom gallery and throughout my shop to get an idea for the type of work I make.

Please note: For engagement/ceremonial everyday rings, I only work with stones that have a hardness of 7.5 and up. Sapphire and diamond are my first choice as they have the best durability - softer stones may be considered.

  • After taking a look at my past work, and deciding that I would be the perfect artist to make your bespoke piece of jewelry, reach out through the inquiry form below! If you are interested in customizing a piece of jewelry I have already designed, please include a link to the piece in the inquiry form. Links can be to my website or instagram.

From start to finish, the custom process can take up to 14 weeks - sometimes longer, depending on design complexity, stone sourcing, the time of year, and my current work load. We will discuss current order times upon your inquiry.

Once I receive your inquiry, I will ask to set up a complimentary 30 minute consultation over zoom, phone, or in person, depending on your proximity to Johnstown, PA. In our meeting we will get to know each other a little bit, you can email me inspiration photos of work I’ve made or antique pieces, and we will further discuss your preferences for stones/aesthetics, and go over any other questions I/you may have.

Now that we have a solid idea of the direction we’re headed, we can move forward with a $500 non-refundable deposit that goes toward the total of your piece. This will be payable through my website, and shows your commitment to the project, as well as allows me to research and design your piece, source stones, and provide you with pricing based on one-two different designs.

With all of the design criteria met and a final quote determined, the remaining project balance will be due within 3 business days. This will allow me to order all of the materials necessary for your piece, and get to work.

  • $1,000 minimum in sterling or argentium silver* (stones not included in price)

$2,000 minimum in 14k yellow/rose/palladium white gold* (stones not included in price)

Custom pricing will vary greatly depending on your desired stones, design, and the current metal market - thus, it is important for you to have an idea of your budget before we get started. I will be able to let you know whether your budget fits the parameters of your desires, and we will move forward accordingly.

Solitaire ceremonial rings are currently starting at $1,500 in sterling silver, and $2,500 in yellow gold. Depending on your stone choice, this price can reach upwards of $9,000.

*Some very simple custom requests may fall below these minimums, but most will strictly adhere to them.

  • At this time we do not melt down client-provided metals. However, in some cases, it is possible to re-work ring bands and parts of heirloom pieces into wire or sheet metal without melting the material.

For client-provided stones, I require the stone(s) to be appraised by a jeweler before working with them. This gives the client peace of mind, as the appraisal will identify unique characteristics regarding the stones, and ensure you receive your one-of-a-kind piece back.

Client-provided sentimental/memorial material will be considerd on a case-by-case basis. Typically we will accept: hair, animal fur, and ashes. Other materials for consideration include: feathers, whiskers, teeth, fabric, etc.

  • You may choose to spread out your payment into 4 interest-free installments at checkout, but please note that I do not control the terms of these payments. Payments are made to a third-party company called Afterpay.

  • Erika Blair LLC aka Erika Broas holds the right to all designs. Photos of custom work may be posted to social media, erika-blair.com, or elsewhere, at any time without notification or tagging. Custom designs may be replicated and sold in our shop or utilized for future custom requests.
